Information Sent Directly
Search entries
When a visitor enters a name or location into a search tool, those entries are sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Wilkinson County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own servers. The provider may have separate terms and privacy rules.
Messages and contact details
If a visitor sends an email or message, the information is kept so a reply can be made. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required or needed to protect the service.
Technical Details Collected Automatically
Like most web services, a page request can create routine technical information. That may include:
- IP address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages visited and time spent on each page;
- referring site, when a referrer is supplied; and
- timestamps for requests and visits.
Cookies and similar tools
Cookies may be used to understand how visitors move through the reference and to support normal operation. Browser settings can block or delete cookies. Some features may work differently when cookies are disabled.
How Information Is Used
Collected information may be used to:
- keep the reference available and responsive;
- send a search request to the appropriate partner tool;
- learn which pages help visitors understand Wilkinson County records;
- find errors, abuse, and technical faults; and
- show advertising that may be relevant to a visitor's interests.
Links to Government and Other Sites
Wilkinson County Busted Mugshots links to the Wilkinson County Sheriff's Office, the Wilkinson County Jail contact listed by GDC, the Wilkinson Clerk, the Georgia Department of Corrections, federal locators, news outlets, and third-party tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy policy controls that activity.
Advertising partners may track activity across different sites through their own systems to support interest-based advertising. That tracking is controlled by those partners, not by this reference.
Who May Receive Information
Personal information is not sold by Wilkinson County Busted Mugshots. It may be available to the following categories when needed for the stated purpose:
- search partners that process a submitted query;
- analytics providers that measure service use;
- advertising networks and their service providers; and
- law-enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure.
Security Practices
Reasonable standard safeguards are used, but no internet-connected system is perfectly secure. No promise can be made that information will never be intercepted, lost, or exposed through an event outside reasonable control.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor submitted information, a parent or guardian may use the Contact Us page to request its deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and reasonable verification, a visitor may ask to:
- receive a copy of personal data held by the organization;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion of information;
- opt out of certain processing, including available advertising choices.
Requests should identify the information and a safe way to respond. A request cannot change a record held by Sheriff Richard Chatman, the Wilkinson County Jail, Georgia DOC, the Clerk, or another government custodian. Those offices control their own data.
